Inductors have infinite uses.

Inductors make a force called “magnetism” when electricity flows through them. Magnetism can do things like change or stabilize the way electricity flows.
They also make batteries last longer in smartphones and video game systems. Inductors can do all kinds of things, so they are in all sorts of machines.

Inductors like to argue!

As the flow of electricity gets stronger, inductors make it harder for the flow to get any stronger than it has to. When the electricity gets weaker, inductors push back against that, too.
Without an inductor, electricity goes straight through if the flow of electricity increases. Inductors help machines run smoothly by arguing with the electricity.
